The City of Atlantis

The oceans above me

But there’s weights tied to my feet

The empty laughs, empty smiles

Fleeting sunshine-

Fleeting memories-

All encompass me

Overwhelming

And I wish I could swim

That my arms weren’t broken

Now my bodies folding in

As the blackness takes over

Lost forever with the forgotten city

For souls as black as mine

I’ve found Atlanta.
